A few of the day’s Simple Dishes
The first of the Guild’s planned bimonthly Play Day and Social Hour events featured featured a demo of tools for making bead-string end caps [or medium to large beads, or small cups for other uses; the list goes on] by Barbara Krywko and workshop like introduction to making Simple Dishes from thin sheet copper by Jean Vormelker. The object was not to be producing Simple Dishes in the style presented or use the forming method for particular projects, but to stimulate ideas. A cake was provided to recognize three of the attendees with birthdays in the approximate time frame of the event, in addition to the fact that cake is always rather neat.   The next Play Day and Social Hour is scheduled for May 10, the second Thursday. Check here for details.
